STATUS
Winter visitor.

ABUNDANCE
Very scarce.

HABITAT
A rock-loving bird (rocky crests, cliffs, crags and ridges) that also takes to man-made substitutes (castles, dams, mines).

SEASONAL BEHAVIOUR
Normally stays from November to March, though sometimes arrives in late October and hangs around until early April.

DISTRIBUTION
there are records in all four provinces but especially in Huelva and Jaén. In some years it takes up nearly all suitable habitat in the whole territory (like the winters of 2007/2008 and 2009/2010), while in other years it sticks to its favoured areas like Aracena castle. It is precisely in this latter site where its regular wintering has been proven from 2006 to date (2012).

COMMENTS
Can be found by fine-combing all the rocky areas and climbing up to the peaks in winter.
