ABUNDANCE
Very scarce.

HABITAT
Reservoirs and ponds. Small flocks also seen flying over.

SEASONAL BEHAVIOUR
Recorded on both spring and autumn passage. 

DISTRIBUTION
There is no clear geographic pattern to its appearances. Most records come from the reservoirs of Aracena, El Pintado, José Torán, Puente Nuevo and Arenoso, the River Guadalquivir, Bailén gravel pits, Viar valley and the Huelva part of Tentudía.

COMMENTS
Always seen in modest flocks.
