Summer visitor and migrant. 

ABUNDANCE
Uncommon in general.

HABITAT
A versatile scrub warbler that breeds in a variety of habitat ranging from Cistus scrub with scattered Holm-Oaks to Juniper copses, scrub patches among pinewoods and bush-fringed rivers and streams. Prefers sunny areas. On passage seen in hedgerows, woods, thickets and streams in campiña, orchards, gardens, etc.

SEASONAL BEHAVIOUR
Seen above all from March to September. 

DISTRIBUTION
Its situation varies greatly from the western zone where it is scarce (especially in Huelva) to the eastern half where it is locally abundant.
