ABUNDANCE Rare though probably regular.
HABITAT Known records correspond to dense woodland (pinewoods or riparian woods) and open areas with some trees (Holm-Oak dehesas).
DISTRIBUTION In recent years has been recorded in the provinces of Huelva, Seville and Jaén, though it probably winters in low numbers in all four provinces.
COMMENTS Its tiny size and mouse-like furtiveness among the tree tops make it a hard species to locate.
