STATUS
Winter visitor and vagrant.

ABUNDANCE
Very rare, though a regular if local winter visitor in recent years.

HABITAT
A rock nester of the high mountains that comes down to winter on lower-altitude cliffs and even stone constructions.

SEASONAL BEHAVIOUR
Especially likely to appear after heavy snowfalls in the north of the Iberian peninsula.

DISTRIBUTION
Its only regular wintering spot (at least from 2009 to 2011) in our territory is Jándula dam and nearby cliffs. Also seen several times in the Santuario de la Virgen de la Cabeza and, in Huelva, Aracena castle. Another record in Cerro del Hierro.
