STATUS
Sedentary.

ABUNDANCE
Uncommon.

HABITAT
A flexible species that takes to a great variety of open spaces, especially in areas of Mediterranean scrub and thinned out dehesas.

SEASONAL BEHAVIOUR
Seen all year.

DISTRIBUTION
This species has a patchy distribution that is hard to make sense of. It has disappeared from some areas and recently colonised others. Extremely rare and local in Huelva with some populations in pastureland and Cistus scrub (Encinasola, Cumbres de Enmedio, Rosal de la Frontera). Erratically distributed throughout the rest; some of the best spots are Llanos de Guadalcanal in Seville, the sierras of Montoro in Córdoba or Sierra de Andújar in Jaén; in these spots could be classed as common or even abundant.
