STATUS
Sedentary, with some records of vagrant birds.

ABUNDANCE
Scarce.

HABITAT
The colonies (although in Sierra Morena it might be better to speak of isolated pairs) live in large areas of Mediterranean scrub where they nest on cliffs and rocky outcrops as well as old mining ruins; also in plains and pastureland of pseudosteppe habitat, where they take to old mines and abandoned farmsteads.

SEASONAL BEHAVIOUR
Seen all year in breeding areas.

DISTRIBUTION
Does not breed in Huelva, where there is only one old record of a flock of vagrant birds. Very scarce in Sierra Morena Sevillana except for the pseudosteppe of the north. In C贸rdoba distributed around crags of northern Hornachuelos and the Espiel-Obejo axis, also in Yeguas canyon. More frequent in Sierra Morena de Ja茅n and lives in mines and cliffs in a large part of the territory.
