STATUS
Sedentary, perhaps topped up by some wintering birds from abroad.

ABUNDANCE
Uncommon.

Very fond of riparian copses and thickets, hedgerows and rows of trees as well as woodland edges, shadier parts of Mediterranean woodland and orchards. Also seen with less frequency inside closed-canopy woodland, dehesas, pastureland and cropland. Likes cool, moist environments, especially in the breeding season.

SEASONAL BEHAVIOUR
Stays all year.

DISTRIBUTION
Distributed throughout the four provinces without ever becoming abundant in any of them.
