The stream called Arroyo Guadalora is one of the best conserved watercourses in western Sierra Morena, carving out a narrow winding valley embellished by Mediterranean woodland and scrub. As well as birds like Golden Oriole, Cirl bunting, Red-Rumped Swallow, Bee-eater, Kingfisher and Azure-Winged Magpie it also boasts outstanding European Nettle Tree woods, two of the rarest dragonflies in Spain, Orange Spotted Emerald聽 and Yellow Clubtail, plus native fish species (colmilleja, calandino, Andalusian Barbel, etc) and the Nettle Tree Butterfly.
