STATUS
Sedentary, maybe topped up by some wintering birds from further north. 

ABUNDANCE
Scarce in general, though varies from province to province.

HABITAT
Fond of pinewoods but also occasionally turns up in Cork-Oak woods, Portuguese- Oak woods and other types of Mediterranean woodland.

SEASONAL BEHAVIOUR
Year round presence. 

DISTRIBUTION
Present in the four provinces but very scarce in Seville, uncommon in Huelva and common in C贸rdoba and Ja茅n, with particularly high numbers in some spots (pinewoods of Villaviciosa de C贸rdoba, northern Sierra de Hornachuelos and Despe帽aperros).
