STATUS
Sedentary; in some spots behaves as a winter visitor. 

ABUNDANCE
Very scarce.

HABITAT
Meadows and broom scrub and campiña cropland.

SEASONAL BEHAVIOUR
Can be seen throughout the year. 

DISTRIBUTION
Breeding not yet proven in Huelva though there are spring records from Encinasola. In Seville breeds on the steppes of Guadalcanal although also spotted around La Puebla de los Infantes. In Córdoba lives in cropland of Guadalquivir Valley (Algallarín, Montoro). Also very scarce in Jaén, confined to certain areas of the olive-growing campiña.
