This round walk takes us through one of the most typical Sweet Chestnut woods of Sierra de Aracena y Picos de Aroche. These woods are home to some of the local star turns, like Redstart, Firecrest, Iberian Chiffchaff or Honey Buzzard. There is also a rich supporting cast including Spotted Flycatcher, Melodious Warbler, Rock Bunting, Cirl Bunting, Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, Sparrow Hawk and Rock Sparrow. Weasels hunt in the undergrowth, which is dotted with the blooms of Peonies, Foxgloves and the rare endemic orchid Portuguese Helleborine. More information in the book Birding and Nature Trails in Sierra de Aracena y Picos de Aroche.
