Abandoned mineworkings today stand testament to the millenary mining history of Sierra Morena de Jaén. This car drive shows us the most interesting birds that have now taken up home in them, like the locally scarce Black Wheatear, Black-Eared Wheatear, Blue Rock Thrush, Rock Sparrow, Rock Bunting, Crag Martin, the attractive White-Rumped Swift and Black Redstart. Chough numbers are high and the rare Spectacled Warbler also breeds here. More information on this trail in the book Birding and Nature Trails in Sierra Morena de Jaén.
